How to Screen Print Using the Drawing Fluid Technique

I found this great Tutorial on YouTube, from the wonderful BLICK art materials.
It's a fast overview/demonstration of how to make a screen print using drawing fluid. And because I myself use this technique quite often, I can say that the demonstration is true to the processes. There are some tips I would like to add, but that will have to wait for my next post!

Tutorial: make a print with a masking tape

You will need a tank top or a t shirt, fabric ink, size A4 or A3 cardboard, painting brush and a masking tape.

Place the tank top on a hard surface with the cardboard inside the tank.

Simply start taping the masking tape on the tank top either the way I did or however you want!

When you are done taping, dip your brush in the fabric ink and tap on the parts of the fabric that are not covered with tape.

Wait until the ink dries, remove all of the tape and iron the tank. 

Now go ahead and wear it!

Tutorial: fast and easy way to upgrade a simple tote bag

You will need a tote bag, needle, invisible nylon thread or a thread of your choice and a light-weight curb chain.

Sew one chain link to the bag, wrapping the thread around the link 2-3 times.

In order to achieve a looser chain you can sew it to the bag in only 3 locations like I did. In order to achieve a tighter chain sew in more locations.
