    Have you met my sweetie?

This is Chupa a.k.a chupe-chupe. She came into my life five years ago when i found her and her brother and sister in a box on the street. At first i tried to find a home for them, but as time past and no home was found, i realized these three had already found their home. With me.
Chupe-chupe likes to sleep during the day, and not let me sleep during the night. She likes to play with her toy mouse and with shoe laces. She is a constant inspiration in my work and hope she will be with me for many more years to come.

How to make a unique upcycled spool and gift wrapping ribbon

I have a lot of pretty fabrics and pieces of fabric that i love and don't want to throw away even though i don't use them, so i came up with a way to re-use them as a beautiful gift wrapping ribbon. It goes something like this:
-Take your pretty fabric and cut it into strips with scissors. The strips don't have to be long, because you will tie them together to make one long strip.
-Tie two ends of strips together with two regular knots. (also called overhand knots).
-Keep going until all of the strips are tied to one another.
-Take a piece of cardboard and draw two rectangular shapes at each end of the  cardboard and cut them out.
-Take one end of your long fabric strip and start wrapping it around the   cardboard.

Now you have your own unique wrapping ribbon and spool!
