An eco friendly cardboard Penguins toy tutorial

My nephew turned 4 years old and I wanted to make him a present instead of buying. So I Googeld and found this cute tutorial  :

Here's my take on it:

You'll need:
- Strong cardboard
-Exacto knife
-Copying paper
-Black marker
-White Marker (I used wite out)
-White Felt
-Sequins
-Grey embroidery thread

God's Eye craft tutorial

Here's a short picture tutorial on the process of making a God's Eye.

You can use small tree branches, chopsticks, wooden or plastic skews .. well just about anything.

In this tutorial I'm using chopsticks, pink wool and recycled white and orange cotton threads.

For the past few days I have been going throw my yarn and threads bin and started making God's eye crafts. It started as a present I wanted to make for friend of mine and developed into exploring the endless possibilities of this fun craft.

God's eye or Ojo de Dios on Quemado Mountain, San Luis Potosi, Mexico

A God's eye is a yarn weaving and a spiritual object. The Ojo de Dios (Eye of God in Spanish) is woven with yarn and wood, often with several colors. The weaving of an Ojo de Dios is an ancient contemplative and spiritual practice for many indigenous peoples in the Americas^{[citation needed]}, and beliefs surrounding them vary with location and history. Some people believe they were originally part of the sophisticated religion of the Ancient Pueblo Peoples.^{[citation needed]}

In many of the Pueblos of New Mexico (U.S.) Ojos de Dios have traditionally been created for celebration or blessing, presented as a gift or designed to bless a home.^{[citation needed]} Often they reflect a confidence in all-seeing Providence. The spiritual eye has the power to see and understand things unknown to the physical eye. During Spanish colonial times in New Mexico, from the 16th to the 19th centuries, Ojos de Dios were placed where people worked, or where they walked along a trail (Mager, 2012).

Traditional Ojos de Dios are frequently woven in solitude, as part of an extended meditation or prayer. In other settings, their construction is one aspect of longstanding communal engagement and connection. For centuries, young people in the mountains of New Mexico have made Ojos de Dios in learning circles(wisdom circles) with their elders.^{[citation needed]} In other parts of the 'New World' they were used as ritual objects or for rites of passage

For a few weeks now I have been working on an up-cycled, fun and colorful mobile.
It's the first mobile in my shop and I hope more will be added soon.

A Waldorf Education inspired toy tree

I work in a Waldorf Kindergarten and love to experiment with making "toys" that are inspired by the Waldorf spirit and view of what is best suited for young children to play with.
These trees are my latest creation.
They are not perfect and require more work but they are very easy and FUN to make.
I will post a complete tutorial very soon :)
