I have a lot of pretty fabrics and pieces of fabric that i love and don't want to throw away even though i don't use them, so i came up with a way to re-use them as a beautiful gift wrapping ribbon. It goes something like this:
-Take your pretty fabric and cut it into strips with scissors. The strips don't have to be long, because you will tie them together to make one long strip.
-Tie two ends of strips together with two regular knots. (also called overhand knots).
-Keep going until all of the strips are tied to one another.
-Take a piece of cardboard and draw two rectangular shapes at each end of the cardboard and cut them out.
-Take one end of your long fabric strip and start wrapping it around the cardboard.
Now you have your own unique wrapping ribbon and spool!
